TinyWins Privacy Policy
Effective date: 9 October 2026
TinyWins is provided by Matt Pinner. This policy describes the current TinyWins iPhone app, including its optional voice input feature.
Journal entries
TinyWins stores the text and date of your saved accomplishments in its local app database on your device. Entries are used to display your Timeline, Calendar, statistics, and streaks. The app does not send your journal database to a developer-operated server and does not require an account.
App data may be included in device backups according to your Apple and device settings. Backup handling is governed by Apple’s services and your settings.
Optional microphone and speech recognition
Voice input requires your permission to use the microphone and Apple’s speech recognition service. Audio is supplied to Apple’s Speech framework to generate a transcript. Recognition may take place on your device or involve sending audio to Apple’s servers; TinyWins does not enforce on-device-only recognition. Apple’s processing is governed by its applicable privacy terms.
The transcript appears in the entry field. It becomes a saved journal entry when you tap Save Win. TinyWins does not create or retain an audio recording file. You can use typed entries without allowing microphone or speech recognition access, and can revoke permissions in your device’s Settings app.
See Apple’s privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
Advertising, analytics, and tracking
The current app does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell journal entries or use them for advertising.
Support enquiries
If you email us, we receive your email address and any information you choose to include. We use that information to respond and investigate the issue. Correspondence is handled through our email provider and retained as needed to resolve the enquiry and maintain necessary support records. Please do not send sensitive journal content. You can contact us to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to applicable retention obligations.
Your choices and deletion
You can delete individual wins using the trash icon in Timeline. Entries remain in the current database until deleted. Removing the app removes its local data, but copies may remain in device backups; manage those through your Apple backup settings. We cannot access or remotely recover or delete your device’s journal database.
Children
TinyWins does not require users to provide their age or create an account. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through support enquiries. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information can contact us to request its deletion.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app or its privacy practices change. The latest policy will display an updated effective date.
