Everywhere I’ve Walked

Privacy policy

Location and walking data

Everywhere I’ve Walked uses location permission to show your position and record a route after you tap Start Walking or Resume. Recording may continue while the screen is locked or the app is in the background. Pause or Finish stops recording updates. Force-quitting stops recording; an unfinished walk can be recovered as paused.

Saved on your device

Walk coordinates, GPS timestamps and accuracy, start dates, distance, walking time and favourites are saved locally on your device. Your map preference is also stored locally. The app does not send your walk history to the developer, and it has no accounts, advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.

Apple services

The app uses Apple Maps and Core Location. Apple may process information to provide its mapping and location services under Apple’s privacy policies. Device backups and files you choose to save in iCloud Drive are managed by Apple according to your settings.

Export and backup

GPX exports and app backups contain location history. Files leave the app only when you choose an export destination. A service or person you share them with may handle them under its own policies. The app does not automatically upload your walk database or synchronise walks between devices.

Retention, deletion and permission

Completed walks remain on your device until you delete them in Walks or remove the app. Unfinished walks are checkpointed for recovery. You can revoke location access in iPhone or iPad Settings. Deleting a walk or the app does not delete copies already exported, device backups or files in cloud storage; manage those copies separately.
