Recording a walk

Enable While Using location permission and Precise Location. Tap Start Walking outdoors and wait for a GPS fix. You can lock the screen during an active walk. Pause or Finish stops recording.

Saved trails and backups

Finished walks appear in Walks and remain on the exploration map. Use Settings → Backup & Restore to save a copy outside the app. Finish unfinished walks before exporting a backup. Your data is local; deleting the app can remove it.

Troubleshooting

If you see a saving error, keep the app open and retry. If recording stops after a force-quit or restart, reopen the app and Resume the recovered walk. For GPS problems, check Location Services and Precise Location in device Settings.

When emailing support, include your device model, iOS version, app version and a description of the issue. Share route files only if you intend to disclose their location history.
